The Jerusalem Post has reported that The Institute for Biological Research (IIBR) has completed a groundbreaking scientific development, identifying an antibody that is capable of neutralizing the coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2).
Scientists at the IIBR said they had isolated a key coronavirus antibody and developed a “monoclonal neutralizing antibody that can neutralize the coronavirus inside carrier bodies.”
Israeli Defense Minister Naftali Bennet in a statement said, he is “proud of the Biological Institute staff, who made a major breakthrough,” and that “the Jewish creativity and ingenuity brought about this amazing achievement.”
Based on comprehensive scientific publications from the globe, the report states that it appears that the IIBR is the first institution to achieve such scientific breakthrough that meets all three of the key parameters necessary, for approval.
The IIBR is now working to patent it’s antibody and secure a contract for its commercial development.
Over 4 million confirmed cases of the coronavirus pandemic and almost 300,000 deaths have been recorded around the world as at the time of writing this report, even as the race continues, to put an end to the pandemic.
