Bandits Commander killed, Okotie rubbishes PFN Leadership
The Kaduna State Government has said that a bandit with over 100 fighters under him has been killed in Kaduna.
According to Samuel Aruwan, the State’s Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, the bandits were neutralised by bombers and killed in the Malul Forest in Igabi area of the stateHowever, in Katsina, a soldier was killed by bandits who was returning from a forest patrol in Safana around 1pm yesterday.Read more on The Nation
President Buhari gives fresh order to Nigeria security agencies
President Muhammedu Buhari has directed The Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS to improve surveillance and control around borders in the country.
According to statement made by the Special “Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, in his Speech at the virtual inauguration of NIS Technology Building, the President gave the directive to the service to ensure that criminals do not find Nigeria as a safe haven for criminality.
Buhari also instructed all security agencies to raise their performance in protecting lives and property, while enduring the country’s Global Security Index is improved.
The founder of the Household of God Church, Chris Okotie, has distancd himself from the election of the new national executive of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), led by Wale Oke. In a terse message to the PFN National Secretariat in Lagos on Thursday, Mr Okotie said the Christian body “has departed from its core values and it s only a shadow of itself.
According to Pastor Chris, “Leadership in the church of God should be by divine appointment and not the whims and caprices of a disjointed ssemblage of Episcopalian pacifists.”
