On the back of criticisms leveled against the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the cleric says some of his words annoy non-members of his church.
Pastor Adeboye had been on the receiving end of criticisms when he admonished young women to be submissive to their husbands while celebrating his wife’s birthday.
However, in response to his critics, in a sermon on Sunday, Pastor Adeboye said, should he have his way, he will restrict his sermons and activities to members of his church.
Adeboye, while speaking in the sermon broadcast live via the church’s TV station Dove media, said;
“As a matter of fact, if there is a way of preaching the sermon just to my own children alone, that is what I would have done.
“Not because I’m selfish but occasionally there are things you say to your children that would annoy outsiders. And you keep on saying, but I am not talking to you, I am talking to my children. But now, the lockdown has made the door open to everybody,” he said.
While responding to the criticisms, Pastor Adeboye also said his critics shouldn’t be offended since his message was for those he recognize as his children.
“It’s none of your business, I don’t need to answer you, I just need to keep on riding high with my king.
“I am talking to my children, so others should not be angry with me. Before take off, consider your landing,” Adeboye said.
Selahgist Hub also reported earlier that Gospel film veteran actor, Mike Bamiloye had in a response to Pastor Adeboye’s critics condemned the attitude of Nigerian youths to pastors in the country.
The gospel film actor wondered how the youths who are still in a developing stage in life, could confidently talk against a man who is internationally recognized and succesful.
