US-based senior pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God , Tola Odutola, has reportedly resigned from the church.
Pastor Tola Odutola, a prominent pastor in the RCCG, and senior pastor of Jesus House Baltimore, informed his congregation on Sunday that he was leaving the church after 30 years of service.
The pastor in a video, cited lack of care by the leaders, disclosed that his church will now run independently.
He admitted that he expects criticisms for his decision, though he wouldn’t respond to them, telling his members not to bring the reports to him.
Pastor Odutola also disclosed that he will be leaving with his wife and other pastors, in a statement which would cause a worry for the Pastor Adeboye-led church.
The pastor’s announcement to the congregation was met with a standing ovation several times.
Odutola, according to the website of Jesus House Baltimore, was a Chartered Accountant at Peat Marwick, KPMG in Nigeria. He also the Treasury Controller and Business Development Manager.
He however left his job when he was called into full time ministry.
