Following reports of the role Paris Jackson, daughter of Michael Jackson, is to play in a soon to be released movie, ‘habit,’ and the petitions against the movie’s release, producer of the movie says “the story has been completely blown out of proportion.”
Earlier selahgisthub had reported that Paris Jackson was set to portray Jesus as a woman in the movie ‘habit.’
The yet to be released movie, which stars Bella Thorne, as a street-smart girl with a Jesus fetish, caused petitions to be launched against the release of the movie.
The film, also features appearances of “Jesus Christ” played by Paris Jackson, daughter of Michael Jackson.
However, Cassian Elwes, the film’s executive producer, wrote on Twitter, in response to the controversies around the movie, after news outlets reported the ‘Jesus character’ in the movie.
“Of course the story has been completely blown out of proportion,” the film’s producer said.
While responding to another tweet, Elwes also said, Jackson doesn’t play a “lesbian Jesus. That’s absolute nonsense.”

Different petitions were launched against the movie, and many of such have been signed by hundreds of thousands.
Ted Baehr, founder of Movieguide, an organization dedicated to preserving the Christian values in the entertainment industry, believes the movie crosses a line “that should not be crossed.”
“Usually, we like our audience to be the judge. We present them with information and we want them to judge whether it’s worthwhile for the family,” Baehr told Christian Post in an interview.
“We do have some lines that nobody In the entertainment industry should cross and that’s out opinion.”
“This is a line that should not be crossed. The same line that should not be crossed for movies that have pedophilia, and the line of blasphemy, which is exactly what this is,” he said.
